When you turn your new iMac on, there is no noise at all. Not a single sound except the OS starting sound. No fans can be heard, nothing... at first I thought I was deaf... after my PC with 4 fans inside and the noise like I am starting an fighter airplane every single time I turn it on, this is something that actually heals your hearing, LOL.

Yes almost all Macs are quite except the MacPro towers They have a slight humming to them due to 4/8 processors inside

If I were to go out and purchase the new Apple keyboard, would it work on my PC or does it only work with macs?

There aren't any windows specific keys, no control key, the alt key is there but it would appear that you would need another key press to select it as it has another 'Option,' excuse the pun. There may possibly be more, Esc key, etc.  from that I saw in the image Sasha posted in his other topic (see link below), so I doubt windows would recognise it as a standard windows 101 key keyboard.

Not sure if it would work or not, to tell the truth I haven't even tried doing that... but, as David already brought it up, there are some extra keys and some that exist only on Windows-keyboards...

Anyway, here is few photos, so at least you can take a look how it looks like from above and from the side...

Looks really neat, can now see that there is an Esc and control key, though the differences might make it very difficult (if not impossible) to use in windows, the three finger shuffle (Ctrl+Alt+Del) would become a four finger shuffle (as you would need another key to have alt selected and not Option. But no getting away from it, it is a very nice looking keyboard.

Apple Keyboards work great under Windows.

Control+Alt+Del works fine on a apple keyboard. The Option Key is the Alt key (it even has alt printed on it, look at sasha's picture above)

and the Command(apple) key works just like the windows key

Yes, you can see it here, although when I took this photo I wasn't focusing on ALT key... anyway, it is still visible...

I should add that in order to use the Built in USB Hub in the keyboard you need XP SP2 or Vista.

I thought that because the key appears to have to functions (Options and Alt) like in a windows keyboard, the numeric keys (not numeric pad) have 2 or more values printed on them, you have to use a key combination to select the other values.

Yes, that's right... but I guess as soon as you hook it up to some Windows machine, OPTION key has no function and instead it functions as ALT key. Same goes when you're using BootCamp and Parallels.

As Sasha said Option has no function under windows (or Linux) so it automatically the Alt key.
