how to interpret "chest" entries

how do i interpret the "chest" entries?

consider the attached.... three .dll system files are now found in the chest. what does this mean?

How? If the user can't login (or boot), how could he has access to this system files?

What you can't understand is the concept Tech is talking about (and not just about these system files in the chest), if you are unable to boot into your system. Outside windows the user can't access the chest, if you sent an important system file to the chest and the result of that meant you couldn't boot you wouldn't be able to find, extract, decrypt and copy it to its original location.

This is due to the protection of avast chest, what Tech wants is a means of recovering files from the chest when you can't boot into windows.

Unfortunately the Topic he chose to air his grievance isn't directly related to this users question.

sorry to be such a pain...why are these three files so important -- what if other system files become incurably infected? and wouldn't i have avast's vrdb backup (or is it an image!)? plus, i will have my own image. btw, what is the necessity of vrdb if i have my own image? (and vista maintains its restore points" - i still can't figure out what these 46GB restore points are useful for!)

If you have trouble with your system, where do you go to try and find the solution, answer for most people the connect to the internet the winsock.dll and wsock32.dll are important for internet connection. The heart of your OS is the kernel so kernel32.dll is also very important.
