MSDE error during an ADNM install on a NT server

I was unable to complete an ADNM install (as a mirror) on a remote NT SP6 server because I received this MSDE error :"SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine cannot be installed on this computer. System does not meet minimum OS requirement".

When the installation was aborted I saw this NT Error: "An application error has occurred and an application error log is being generated - avast.setup.exe - Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address: 0x00446415.

I have a central ADNM server connected to the remote LAN (on a different domain) with a VPN but the central ADNM is not able to register the presence of the remote clients (so I tried to install ADNM on the remote NT Server).


I attach the log.

Hi I believe msde 2000 is not supported on NT4. should be windows 2000 SP3 I believe.

If you don't have a Windows 2000 or 2003 server I recommend using an XP workstation to install ADNM on.
