Why off-topic is important to a security forum?

My cousins bought their dad a t-shirt with "old bald headed fart" on it.  He wore it with pride.

I made the joke to show we want the off-topic forum back for fun in between assisting members of this security forum.

Being offended over a friendly bit of humor shows why we lost the off-topic forum & why we will never get it back.

I saw the "Adams Family" movie when it came out.  In the movie, some girl scouts were trying to sell Pugsly cookies.  They told him they were made out of all natural ingredients.  Pugsly responded "Are they made from real girl scouts"?  Coming out of K-Mart, some girl scouts asked me if I'd like to buy some cookies.  I responded with Pugsly's line.  They got a big laugh out of it.

Today if I said that to a girl scout, I might be arrested.

Corrected in my post also. Yep, the police would most probably be coming to see you if you made that kind of remark these days.

The offtopic was closed because of unacceptable behaviour of some of the members which lead to rebellion agains local mods and lots of spam for admin (pavel).

We try to concentrate on our anti-virus work and this forum is used mainly for tech support. We don't have time/means/will to play the games with our users. Regarding me, I'm still against off-topic here.

I must now change my want for the return of the Off-Topic section. Even though rdmaloyjr apologized & Bob accepted, I have come to realize that we have not progressed past the reasons for closing it.
We do not deserve that section opening again.

@Drhayden1: You have to remember that some folks here are still on dial up and if you post a picture in every post you make that doesn't really help their load times. Some threads are so filled with pictures it takes forever to load ... Not everybody is on broadband. Keep that in mind please.
