Avast 4.7.1043
« on: September 10, 2007, 11:43:54 AM »
Hi
After that I have updated to 4.7.1043 I got problem with my stock trader tool, when it start the main functions don't work at all. If I deactivate avast the trader tool have no problem and all function is OK. And if activate avast after start of the trader tool it still work OK. But if start again I got the same problem.
I have have used both avast and the stock trader tool for many years without this kind of problem. I have contacted my stock broker and he says he don't has any problem on the system. The stock broker is Skandiabanken and the tool is Skandiabanken Trader. I don't have any technical information on the tool. Can anyone help me, if not I have to change to an other antivirus program.

/Mikael

Does stopping the WebShield provider resolve the issue?

OK, would it be possible for us to download the tool and give it a try in our lab?

Thanks
Vlk

Do you use any firewall?
Is ashWebSv.exe allowed to connect?

Hi
The only way is to ask the provider of the service send them an e-mail to their support:

webmaster@skandiabanken.se

The tool try to connect to another url perhaps is this the problem. I made an exception to not scan that url and I can have webshield activ.

So you managed to resolve the problem by adding a certain exception to the WebShield'd settings?
If so, can you please share the setting that works so that we can incorporate that to the default Webshield configuration, preventing other users from being hit by the same problem...?

Thanks

Hi Vlk,
The URL I exclude from scanning is:
http://push.ecovision*
I very pleased with your quick answers and superb support thanks.

Thanks.

And so the full site address is ecovision.se or ecovision.com (or something else?)
Would http://push.ecovision.* work, too? (note the dot just before the star)
It sounds slighly more bullet-proof.

Thanks
Vlk
