digitalcaptcha.top ?
« on: September 20, 2021, 02:49:30 AM »
I had an several invasive notifications show up on my pc in the last couple of days indicating I had 5 viruses and trying to get me to install some antivirus software. I ignored them and installed Avast One to see if it would remove them.  If it did I would go ahead and install a more premium package.  The internet indicates this thing is some sort of a browser add on, but it recommends installing a good AV program.  Which is why I am here.  But so far i can't say i am impressed with Avast.  It hasn't removed the annoying notifications and makes no reference to the removal of the offending code.  any help would be appreciated.  BTW, this is my second attempt at the forum and i don't see my first request, ?

Some details would probably help.

If you are still getting them I suggest doing a screen capture and attach it to your next post.

Well Avast One is a new Antivirus version from Avast, not as suggested by your internet searches "The internet indicates this thing is some sort of a browser add on."  I suggest you check out this Avast One FAQ.

Avast does also have an browser add-on also, completely independent of the antivirus.

What have you done that doesn't impress you ?
I still use Avast Free (there is also a free version of Avast One) and have been for over 17 years and no infections.
