How to Backup Bookmarks

How do I backup my Avast Browser bookmarks? And then how, if needed, do I restore them?

Hi Jen,

Right now there are two possibilities how to do it:
1) Use sync functionality.
  • Click on person icon on right upper corner of the browser next to green shield icon.
  • Select Turn on sync and follow the steps.
  • After finished your bookmarks are now stored in your account and it will be restored when you login to browser when you eg. reinstall it.

2) Save bookmarks to html.
  • Click on Three dots on right upper corner of the browser next to green shield icon.
  • Select Bookmarks -> Bookmark Manager.
  • Click on Three dots next to Search bookmarks line and select Export bookmarks.
  • Confirm the save of the html file to location where you want to have the backup file for bookmarks.
  • To restore the bookmarks follow the same steps but instead of Export bookmarks select Import bookmarks and select the backup html file you saved.
