Password/passkey for avast?
« on: September 30, 2007, 03:40:46 AM »
I need my password/passkey for avast, but I forgot it. Any way I can get it back?!! There's no 'lost your password?' button. It's not the registration key but the password that you need when you change the settings of your avast for example...

I need it in order to turn off the regular avast so that the avast cleaner could start its work.

Tnx for any help!

Sorry, I don't know of anyway to discover the password.

Why do you want to run the cleaner? If it's the virus cleaner, it's onlt designed for a few select viruses.

We like I said the cleaner will work only on a few viruses. Scans with superantispyware, avg antispyware, etc will be more effective.

Did avast detect these viruses and as what? What are the file names and locations. It's beter to move to the chest than delete anything found.

And I believe al968's answer is the only way to get around the password situation.
