I was hoping Vista wouldn't fall in that trap as well.
When XP was released, there are tons of people falling in love with 2k or 98... The prophets said that XP will never sell well because it was full of security holes, bugs, etc...
I'm not a prophet but seems that more one year and nobody will say Vista will be dropped...

In a years time, I would say if Microsoft's pronouncements on the replacement for Vista are accurate and true, we will hear much hype about the new OS and how great it will be and the feature sets it will have, etc.
