Hi,

Avast Online Security & Privacy is not an ad blocker. It prevents third parties from tracking your online behaviour. https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/AOSP-FAQ/#idt_060

rocksteady:
So why is there a setting "Opt out from these Advertisers". (Note I have changed the title of my OP).
I find that very confusing and misleading.

To clarify:
I am seeing the "Opt out now" blue button and blue ticked advertiser check boxes all the time, even after I have clicked on it and gone through a Opt out cycle.

Should the check boxes change colour if Opt out is successfull?

Otherwise there seems no feedback that the Opt out's have been applied. Hence you just go round in circles hitting "Opt out now", seeing no result.

The same thing happens to me in Firefox, when I restart it the boxes are back as if I had not done anything. In Chrome and Edge, advertiser exclusions work
