What Identity are you using in OE?

Each Identity can have its own Address Book.

Main Identity - I was also getting a low disc space message - so I deleted a few programs and let windows compress files

Its not good to let Windows get low on hard drive space as all kinds of funny things happen to it.

Short answer no.

avast might scan your address book but all it would do is alert you to an infection if possible, and you would know about that with the audible and visual alert. If it were to do anything, deletion (which you would have to authorise) is more likely than roll-back, a function avast doesn't have.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Hmmm... Mine are all inside of the same .wab file, divided (as folder) into the identities, but in the same file for sure.
avast shouldn't mess anything in the address book.
Can you search your computer for *.wab and *.wab~ files?
