Update from Free version 21.5 to 21.9 results in Windows 10 21H2 being unable to start
This is a system which is in a location very remote from where I live. I visit it only every 6 months to service it. I had taken a full system copy before attempting the update. For expediency's sake and because of limited available time, I reverted to the backup it before successfully performing other planned maintenance tasks.
I mention this simply to create awareness of the issue. I will make another attempt to update this installation of Avast Free next spring.
