Uninstalling Avast Free Antivirus
« on: November 26, 2021, 11:51:15 AM »
Hello there, I just wanted to share some feedback about Avast!
Everything, the security, everything is just amazing, but with one bad thing.
(Everything else is good, please don't care about this one bad thing and just install this)
I want it so that there are no problems while UNINSTALLING Avast.
Even though you don't want to uninstall Avast, there is a chance of an automatic repair failing due to Windows Defender being turned off.
So please make sure to fix the uninstall issue.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you install Avast.

You should, it's better than Windows Defender Antivirus(built-in).
It's the best antivirus for me!!
Yay time to run a scan
Windows 11, Avast Free Antivirus. Avast One => Avast Free Antivirus. Currently using Avast Free. Antiviruses: Windows Defender => Avast One(WinDefender deactivated) => Avast One uninstall => WinDefender was activated again => Avast Free Antivirus

I know the uninstall utility, but I want it so that you can EASILY uninstall it without any confusing installations.

I don't know why it doesn't uninstall well, so I hope that problem gets fixed. Until then I will use the Uninstall Utility.

If you have experienced a problem uninstalling avast (I haven't but it is rare that I do a clean reinstall) then it would be wise to take advantage of r@vast (avast team) seeking more information.

Microsoft Windows controls the Windows Defender antivirus, install a 3rd party antivirus and Windows Disables Windows Defender antivirus, the reverse should be true if you uninstall a 3rd party antivirus, defender should be re-enabled by the OS.

Okay, thanks for the info, until this gets fixed I will use the uninstall utility.
The normal removal via Apps and Features will never be able to remove Avast.
That's why the uninstall utility is there.
It's simple enough to use. Just run it, let it restart in Safe Mode and follow the instructions.
