Note: the latest UI version 1.0.1027 is required to enable new features. If this doesn't appear immediately, try reopening the UI or restarting your PC.

You can update your existing installation by going to Account > Settings > Updates in the Avast One application.
To activate premium subscriptions, make sure you are logged into your Avast Account via the Account menu in the application.

Since Avast One, every time there's a new release/update

- My windows laptop totally freezes & have to do a hard shut down & reboot - WHY?
(totally interferes with what I may be working on = bad user experience!)

- No notification that Avast is about to update or what it is doing (so inconvenient) - WHY?

- Where is the option (is there one?) to set Avast to not automatically update but when I want to have it update?

I never had these issues with the old Avast.

I searched for somewhere to report these issues, but there is no way to do so for free version - I just keep being sent in a loop to search for articles

Hi,

I take it that you uninstalled all other Avast applications before you installed Avast One.
To change the updates settings - Please go to (Account>Settings>General>Updates)
To leave feedback or report a bug, you can do so via the application (Account>About and Feedback>Let us know)
