feedback: Avast Cleanup vs. CCleaner
« on: November 30, 2021, 08:18:56 PM »
Hi,
after I first time used Avast Cleanup, I started my CCleaner, which I use now. CC still found 900 MB to be cleaned:
- approx 50MB in Edge Chromium cache
- approx 600 MB in Chrome cache (I have multiple profiles on Chrome, so maybe AC cleans only Profile0)
- approx 220 MB in my own files (CC has option to include or exclude something, so I included Nvidia setup files older than 7 days ...)
But still AC has good performance so far and I will probably replace CC by AC.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your feedback.

CCleaner and Avast Cleanup are still being developed as separate products. As such, they will also tend to have slightly different results when it comes to cleaning.
CCleaner is more geared towards users who are a bit more advanced and can understand and assess potential risks by themselves.
With Avast Cleanup, we want to focus on "cleaning safety" so that even a regular user who trusts our recommendations can use it.
