Are you running a Smart Scan or in the main User Interface (UI) window (hence Asyn's, request for a screenshot) ?

Personally I don't run on-demand scans (smart included), if it is in the UI window it is possibly promoting the Avast Cleanup (paid product) if you haven't already got it.

In either case I would ask myself, is my system running slowly for what you are using it for.  If it is getting slower, this is normally due to more applications running in the background, in which case be brutal on what you allow to run at startup and only run things when you actually need them.

Every time I open the main User Interface (UI) window, no scan started
