help - rpc error - what is it

  help me please - my antivirus software has encountered a problem.  The little icon in the bottom right hand corner has a no entry sign thing on it and when i try to click on OAPC it says the AAVM subsystem detected a RPC error.  Can anyone tell what it is and how to fix it?? please please please

You can just make a clean install again: I mean, uninstall, boot, install and boot again... This correct the majority of the RPC errors.

Another way is going to Administrative Tools > Services and configure both of avast! services to run automatically at windows startup. Maybe it will be easier to test this second way before the first one
