Pop-up ads in paid version
« on: December 17, 2021, 02:33:00 AM »
I have the paid version of Avast Premium Security with various add-ons and I occasionally get a pop=up ad from Avast peddling further add-ons/subscriptions.

I do not want that to happen again.

I will happily cancel my subscription and use different software if it does.

In paid versions of Avast - AvastUI > Menu > Settings > General - Personal Privacy and you can uncheck them, 'Show offers for other Avast Products' and 'Show offers for 3rd party products'.

I was loooking for the same thing.
It really ticks me off when this paid for software pesters me about some issue and then tries to charge me to fix it.
What's the bloody point of having paid for it if it will only charge me more for each thing, maybe time to change software.

Screenshot of settings, I've unchecked the last one (wording differs: Personalize the communications and product recommendations in this app" but does this stop all communication?
Nevermind no way to attach a screenshot (well thought out forum choice there).
