Now now Tech keep your chin up high Comodo is trying very very hard to get it to work and running stable on Vista, and you know why Comodo is trying to get as many beta tester support and help build the latest new firewall for Vista platforum.

Tech is your Vista 32 or 64 bit platforum Comodo saying the 64 bit is not very stable in the beta version before the final release will take a while..............Tech please try and ;D

Well, I reported my only problem upon installing Comodo 3 beta firewall on my Vista 32 bits intel system is that it messed up a bit things in the start-up registry so it took about 5-6 minutes more to reboot my PC. Now after upgrading to the latest AVAST program, everything is fine, I reboot in 4-5 minutes much faster. This firewall is weird!!! Then i have some minor problems with the AVAST Screen Saver and comodo firewall when I'm supposed to return to the password logon screen, it freezes even though I said comodo to allow it with memory so many times. Well, not much problems if it behaves as it should... ;)

... attention 64 bits is only for AMD ...

No it isn't. It only means that you cannot use it on those Itanium cpu's from Intel which nobody uses anyway. Intel has cloned the AMD64 technology from AMD ...  ;)

Just installed the new RC1 version of Comodo 3 ;D. Working like a charm on my Windows Vista Home Premium system. Secret is to FULLY UNINSTALL ALL PREVIOUS FIREWALL INSTALLATION BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW ONE OR ELSE :  PROBLEM!!! I can't figure out what's happening to Tech! I can only suggest him to reformat his system and to reinstall it from the start. That is, if Comodo Firewall is worth it!!! 8)

 ??? >:(

Actually the reason that Comodo Firewall wasn't working was because as they had specified the beats did not support Vista yet  :)

I don't know about Tech, but there is absolutely no way I would reformat, just to get a pre-release piece of software to 'possibly' work. Especially with the trouble Tech has already had on the off chance that it might work. I don't think any piece of beta/RC software is worth a reformat, I would even baulk at this for a release version, no way.

No, because, well, it is strange the betas and RC are functionning well on my Vista system since the beginning. I mean, a computer is a computer, he must have something corrupted there :).

There is more than one version of Vista and Tech is using the Business version, which is probably diferent to your version, so a direct comparison can't be made.

I doubt that there is a corruption issue.

For sure, not intentionally. Maybe some problems with my HP laptop, its network driver. But Comodo driver is shown as not digitally signed by Windows Vista, which is not good.
Also, the silent of final answers from the programmers too.

I've sent them an email without answer too...

I have to admit Comodo forum and support is rather frustating. They don,t give a damn! Unlike Vlk and other forum moderators! :o

The thing I don't like about it, you have to register just to view it, not post. I would like to keep up with things like this to possibly help others in 'this' forum but there is no way I will regisert just to browse.
