VPN Issues - VPN Thinks Google Chrome is Paypal.com
« on: December 18, 2021, 09:43:30 PM »
Hi All,

I have Avast One (Paid Version). I set the VPN to turn on automatically when using banking sites.

As soon as I open chrome the VPN will pop up and say Paypal.com and then turn itself on. Anyone else experienced this? It doesn't happen with other browsers.

Hi,

I could only reproduce the issue by visiting paypal.com. Perhaps you have Chrome set to "Continue where you left off" in chrome://settings/onStartup or something else is trying to load paypal.com when you open Chrome. You can always try to repair Avast One (Account> Settings> Troubleshoot> "Repair Avast One"), but this issue seems to be specific to your Chrome browser. Please consider resetting your browser: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Reset-browser/
