Hi ,

i read this forum as much as i could but didn't find the same problem that i've experiment .

when i try to update avast (either virus def. or software ) i got a popup from vista ( acknowlegment to continu ) and then ...nothing! . It just stop , without any other infomation .

Someone already experiment that kind of thing ?
i'm pretty amazed...

Just tried it on my system - Right click the icon - select programme update..  UAC appeared - clicked OK and it updated no problem..  Next question what is your firewall and is the setup allowed to access the net ?

i use the vista firewall .
i got another computer with XP pro and there's no problem ...

i've just downloaded the latest pack from avast website and i got the same thing .

ok , i just found the problem .

i got to put the avast uploader executable file in firewall exeptions.
