Another interesting sale...
« on: November 10, 2007, 11:20:06 PM »
Guessing right - BestBuy Canada again. Sure don't want this too look like advertising or anything similar, but the only reason I like to post this is to keep my forum buddies informed about these crazy low prices that hit our stores sometimes...

I came back from the store 15 minutes ago... this is what I just bought. An external LaCie HD, 500 mighty Gb, USB 2.0, Designed by F.A Porsche. Perfect for Windows and Mac OS X. And now best of all, price is unbelievable - $129.99 CAD... meaning, the price in US dollars is little bit higher, because Canadian dollar is stronger than US right now, so at this moment it is equal to  $139.165 US... but still, incredibly low price for a unit like this. Its price used to be $199.99 CAD just few days ago.

Cheers!

Its a great price when you consider its manufacturer/name Lacie usually quality products, allied to 'Design by F-A-Porsche' (assuming it is that Porsche) and it will match your Mac.

True, LaCie is well known by their wonderful and high-quality products. My boss just purchased 1 Tb LaCie HDs for backups, so each employee has it's own 1 Tb storage for file backups. It may sound like a huge amount of space, but trust me in this business it can be easily filled up in less than one month... (huge video files, 3D animation sequences, unbelievable amount of source files etc.)

More info can be found here:

Yes, he's one of famous Porsche family members - more info here:
