Cannot load some applications
« on: January 11, 2022, 07:12:51 AM »
Hi,

This problem never happened before when I used Avast One, but this started after I switched from One to Free. Some specific programs were being kind of deleted. When I try to open them from the start menu, nothing happens. Luckily, I had the idea to try running this as an administrator, but this only led to an error message saying that Windows could not find <ex>, with <ex> being replaced with the path of the executable application.
The weird part is that I can open the executable files with notepad. I tried disabling Avast, but that did no help.

Is this a known issue?
If so, please fix!

A reply will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Windows 11, Avast Free Antivirus. Avast One => Avast Free Antivirus. Currently using Avast Free. Antiviruses: Windows Defender => Avast One(WinDefender deactivated) => Avast One uninstall => WinDefender was activated again => Avast Free Antivirus
