Avast Business Hub 8.36
« on: January 12, 2022, 01:54:23 PM »
We're happy to announce that Avast Business Hub 8.36 has been released! (January 12, 2022).

This release brings support for future Avast Business products and enhancements to Firewall settings.
---------------------------------------------------
New Feature(s) & Enhancements
•   Added support for upcoming Avast Business product SKUs.
•   Firewall System Rules have been expanded to allow the user to configure each rule separately for private and public networks, allowing them more control over the behavior of the Firewall.
o   For enhanced Firewall the Windows AV client 21.11 is required, with new tabs available in the local client UI:  Networks, Apps, Logs, and Advanced. For more details, see recent posts on Avast Business Forum.
•   Added “Advanced” options for Firewall policy (in “Advanced” tab) where we have implemented some advanced features to the new Firewall:
o   Leak Protection - increases your security on public networks by preventing your PC from leaking potentially sensitive information to the network, including your login credentials, computer name, and email address.
o   Port Scan Alerts - warns the user if hackers/malware attempts to scan the device for open ports while on public networks.
o   ARP Spoofing Alerts - warns the user about attempted ARP spoofing attacks in public networks.
•   Device alias replaces device name in Alerts.
•   List of sites is sorted properly during the policy creation when the policy is created from an existing site.
•   Improved reliability of the device online status.

Resolved issues
•   Fixed an issue with email notifications not opening the device detail page correctly.
•   Fixed an issue with getting an error when dismissing some alert types.
•   Fixed an issue with scheduled reports not being generated.
•   Fixed an issue with device and service statuses showing the device vulnerable/in danger without any active alerts.
•   Fixed an issue with inability to execute a Backup Now task when selecting multiple devices across various customers/sites.
