Avast 4 home - Trojan Horse / script blocking
« on: May 12, 2003, 11:25:04 PM »
Hello,

2 questions:

1) Doesn't Avast 4 Home protect against the trojan horse BACKDOOR.GF.13 (winapp32.exe) ? Avast was working but didn' stop this trojan.

2) My system is now clean and Avast is reinstalled. But I don't find the provider Script Blocking . Can someone help me ?

Thanks.

Hi,

to block scripts you need Avast! Professional Edition...You can evaluate it free for 30 days.

Avast! home Edition dosn't have script blocker, but test script viruses.
This is the same thing as Internet mail plug-in. If you don't use this plug-in, you are still protected by resident shield. The same thing is with Script Blocker, you are protected by resident shield too.
There is one difference. The Internet mail can catch virus earlier then resident shield, before execute. Resident shield catch it when executed.
