Canot send files anymore with MSN when Avast is active

Hello,

Since i have installed Avast i cannot send files with MSN anymore.
Whene i close Avast it works again.

Is there any setting in Avast to fix this ?

ps im using Avast home on a windows Vista home

The MSN email you have is is web based (viewed through your browser) email not pop3 ?

What is your firewall ?

If you disable (pause) avast IM provider, will it work?
Right click the blue icon and choose 'Pause Provider' for IM.

Ah I hadn't thought of the IM messenger side of MSN. Though again avast shouldn't be blocking.
