Infected
« on: March 09, 2004, 12:43:21 AM »
Hi all...need your help/advice please.
Acouple of day ago was advised had the following problem:-
Virus name  Win32dDyfucDldr-D [trj]
File name     C:\Program Files\update\actalert.exe
Vps Version 0402-2,02/25/2004 (not sure what this means ???)
Put this in Chest and then deleted.
On reading forum S. Yuna gave info on trendmicro - so downloaded this so could name the virus and ask your help.
Scan came back clear - no virus.
On dial-up next time got virus alert so thought may have malfunction with avast! So, uninstalled /re-installed.
Then did thorough check including archives and it came back clear - no virus.
On dial-up yesterday and today sure enough got the virus alert...... Any suggestions?  Cheers!   Phil

I did a forum search on this.
MacLover says that an updated Spybot search and destroy will clean this trojan (they call it Dyfluca)

Vps > Virus Definitions
0402-2 > virus definitons version number
02/25/2004 > date Virus definitions were created

spybot detetcs all variants of the trojan but you HAVE TO MAKE SURE it has the latest detection update
