System tray info conflict
« on: January 27, 2022, 03:42:39 AM »
Recently my tray icon is showing conflicting information. When I hover the mouse pointer over it, it reads "Avast Antivirus: your system is secured. UNSECURED."

There doesn't appear to be any problem when I open the main window; but I need to be able to trust the tray icon information, otherwise why should I trust the main Avast program? Is this a known bug? I've deleted and re-installed Avast, and re-started my laptop twice, yet the issue persists. Any information gratefully received. Thank you!
Windows 10 Home x64 :: ASUS P6X58-E PRO :: Core i7-965 @ 3.20GHz :: 12 Gb DDR4 multi-channel RAM :: 1TB SSD :: 4TB HDD :: GeForce GTX 1070 :: Sticker that says "Do not open this box. You have no idea what you're doing."

I'm seeing the same thing and am reporting this to Avast.
Let's see what they have to say.

This is the reply I received from Avast:
"should be fixed in 22.2"
