What is this blue popup?
« on: March 09, 2004, 07:01:43 AM »
I'm using avast home edition for a long time but I 've never seen
this popup. I'm not sure it is virus or trojan.Isn't it?

It is a real notification window from avast!, announcing a new program update.

I would suggest to wait for a while and then retry.

I can configure the way you connect to Internet (dial-up or DSL) into the Updated (Advanced) page of avast! settings. This way you can prevent update errors on boot.

If they do not disappear, then take a look here in the section InetWD and value AlwaysConnectedWaitSeconds to configure the number of seconds to wait before attempting to update. The default is 30 but it may not be enough in some DSL systems.

I support you can access Internet without problems, right?

Can you ping the mentioned server (download1.avast.com)?
What is your avast! setting, regarding the proxy?

Take a look at this one... and guess what...

You don't even have to use Style XP program. Just patch UXTHEME.dll http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/9/3/9-3-8.shtmland you can use it just like ordinary Windows XP theme...

Cheers !

Btw, this one is called Studio28
