Avast self-defense blocking iqvw64e.sys
« on: January 30, 2022, 02:49:13 PM »
Hello,

My avast self-defense is blocking an Intel storage driver iqvw64e.sys

Why would that happen? It has no virus.

\device\harddiskvolume2\windows\system32\drivers\iqvw64e.sys

Test the file at VT (https://www.virustotal.com) and post the link to the result here.

Also consider this information from freefixer:

Issue also earlier discussed here in this community: https://community.norton.com/en/comment/7973771

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

A vulnerability in iqvw32.sys and iqvw64e.sys drivers has been discovered in the Intel Network Adapter Driver.
