Repair Avast:
1. Avast GUI -> Settings -> Troubleshooting
2. Click on 'REPAIR APP'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

Thanks, it works... the trick is to restart the pc afterwards.

Hi,
I have recently installed both Avast AV and Avast browser. I am in fact in my 2 months free period before I subscribe.
I am working on Windows 7 / 32 bits...
The point is that my PC is extraordinarily slow, especially when using Avast browser, and I just cannot follow that way.
I got into Avast AV repair app and restarted the PC as suggested in this conversation but nothing improved.
Is there a way to make those sofwares say a bit lighter (at least the browser), so that they can be supported by my system?
