Avast Free Antivirus for Windows XP - Forgot something Avast?
« on: February 16, 2022, 10:53:24 AM »
For the moment we still have one machine which has to be XP - it is used for maintenance of old PLC based plant which is vastly more expensive to upgrade to something which works with a newer version of Windows.

Now that Business Cloudcare has stopped even installing on XP we've had to switch to the free one:

Only one niggle (apart from the lack of remote management) - the annoying "Unwrap your free gift" banner at the bottom (see attachments).

If you click on that, NONE of the windows that appear have close buttons... ANYWHERE. The only way to close them is Task Manager.

While the "Unwrap" banner is just annoying, it spawning a window which you have to use Task Manager to get rid of is just sloppy programming.

Please rectify this ASAP.
