Internete muito lenta

Boa tarde
Comprei a VPN, Avast SecureLine e quando esta está ativa a Net fica muito lenta, ao ponto de algumas páginas(sites) não abrirem,
Agradeço o favor de me informarem se falta fazer alguma configuração ou se isto é normal.
