Network Security
« on: March 09, 2022, 04:58:44 AM »
I have Avast Premium Security and have just run Network Inspector. In addition to finding my router, printer and I think my wife's computer which uses the same router it found an unknown device which sounds like a router as its IP starts with 10. It says it is a Mac and I have a Windows system.
It also found another which alarms me. It also is a Mac and is shown as "Shanghai High-Flying Electronics Technology Co Ltd.
Can anyone advise me on these please?

Hi,

It probably refers to the MAC address of the device and not a Mac computer.
Please provide a screenshot.

That is weird. I've just run it this morning, having shut down overnight, and all it shows is my laptop, router and my HP printer. Nothing to worry about there at all. Why did it show Shanghai High-Flying Electronics Technology Co Ltd yesterday I wonder?
