Avast Shields Control issues
« on: March 11, 2022, 11:15:14 AM »
Hello- Using Avast Premium Security 22.2.6003 (build 22.2.7013.711) latest build but been having the problem for a while. Internet connection times out after being on for a while. Everything looks ok (VPN Secureline connected, Internet access icon connected in toolbar) but no websites will load. This usually happens after a page refresh or closing of a window. Just a random thing that occurs and shuts off everything. The only work around I have found is to turn off all Avast shields from the toolbar (right clicking Avast icon) and then turning them back on.  Then everything gets back to normal. I thought with the new version this would be worked out but its still happening with the latest release. I tried to pinpoint which shield was acting up but could not find the one causing the problem. Turning them off and then on corrects the problem for the remainder of the session. Using a Win7 HP laptop 64-bit, Firefox browser ver. 99.0b2 (64-bit). Avast Secureline which never loses connection when this happens which is odd. But nothing will load when this happens.  Its like it just times out? Any clues as to what else I could try? Don't really like having to turn off shields in order to restore internet connection.  Thanks it advance.

Yeah I was hoping it wasn't a conflict but it appears it may be some sort of conflict. Id rather have them both working so for the meantime if it keeps happening I'll use the work around.  Thanks for the info!
