It seems that automatic update of application does not work.
« on: March 19, 2022, 12:57:33 PM »
Hello!

I'm using Avast Free Antivirus on Windows 10 with administrator account. Everything is working properly apart from the automatic updates of application (auto updates of virus definitions works without any problem).

I checked version number and it says: 22.1.2504 and there is a red text which says that new version is available. I have auto-update option set to ON, but despite this, auto-updates of application does not work.

Should I wait a couple more days? It seems that newest version is dated to 8th March. Or maybe there is a fix? Manual updates is not a problem, but I would prefer it to work automatically.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Greetimgs.

Hi, not everyone gets it at the same time (staged rollout) to minimize server load.

Thank you for reply :)

Okay, so it seems that I should wait a bit more time. What could be "the max" period of time from start to end of update rollout?

1. You're welcome.
2. That would be something for the devs to answer.

I've had the same thing on both desktop and laptop recently. My desktop (Win 10) was still waiting for me to restart from the February update, and once I did that I had to press the button to get it to download the March update. The laptop (Win 11) also hadn't installed the March update, nor had it downloaded the latest virus definitions at that point.
