An anonymous connection block
« on: March 26, 2022, 06:27:12 PM »
Hi,
a few days ago I was using my pc and Avast had started to show me some pop-ups reporting that a connection was blocked.
A few days later I updated the version of Avast and it didn't show me these pop-ups anymore. But trying to install an external program to monitor the network (NetLimiter) it kept telling me that there was always a connection to that ip address. So I don't know, I think it was a false positive.
By the way today NetLimiter started telling me that even the google chrome updater connects to that same address.
In your opinion is it a false positive as I think or something else?
Attached are both some screenshots of the pop-ups as well as the version of Avast I had installed and the NetLimiter screenshot.

Hi,

This was a false positive. It has been cleared in our database, hence it is no longer detected (after you updated your virus definitions).
