Avast One VPN : Missing features
« on: December 29, 2023, 01:52:45 PM »
I recently moved from Avast Premium to Avast One. Honestly, thanks to the confusing marketing, when I was renewing I thought it was just a name change, but there we go. So fine, I have a new suite that I plan to ignore most of. But I do want to use the VPN.

...which seems to be missing features that were in the Secureline product before. Many of these are annoying, but the most important is that the only way to tell it which Wifi networks you want to use the VPN with and which you don't appears to be to set the latter to "Private networks", in Windows parlance, or "Trusted networks" in Avast-speak, which means that the PC is fully open with file and print sharing etc.

I don't want to do that. I just want to be able to give a list of networks on which I don't want the VPN to be active. Is there no way to do that? If not, has this been acknowledged as something to fix? Thanks.
