Exception and allowed app and ??
« on: April 11, 2022, 04:21:58 PM »
My sister borrow my laptop today, and she said to me that , by mistake her press allow when a avast notice show up , it said that *This program trying to change a file* or something like that.

So I goes to Menu -> Setting -> Exception and Allowed Apps, and I does not see anything in there.

So other than Exception and Allowed Apps, is there any other features that allow a progarm/file run freely ?

I'm worry that she mess up , and now some virus/malware can bypass Avast protection.

(Sorry for bad english.)

Hi, you can always reset Avast (Avast GUI -> Settings -> Troubleshooting).
W8.1 [x64] - Avast Free AV 23.3.8047.BC [UI.757] - Firefox ESR 102.9 [NS/uBO/PB] - Thunderbird 102.9.1
Avast-Tools: Secure Browser 109.0 - Cleanup 23.1 - SecureLine 5.18 - DriverUpdater 23.1 - CCleaner 6.01

Hi,

Have a look at the notifications section, perhaps you might find some info there (Notifications > Alert / History).
