Not sure whether to 'allow app' of just select the x in the corner (which i have thus far).

Hi, not running Edge, but from your screenshot it should be ok to allow it.

Hi, not running Edge, but from your screenshot it should be ok to allow it.

I'm not running Edge either.

Shouldn't there be another option in this alert/notification, e.g. report to Avast so that it isn't falsely reported, e.g. not causing concern to the user if this is a valid function in Edge.  Given that all browsers with the ability to save login details, why wouldn't all browser that do this be pinged.

Presumably the msedge.exe should be digitally signed by MS ?

Had it once also with FF ESR, guess it can happen when a new version is released and whitelist isn't up to date already.

Not seen it on Firefox regular release (not ESR) and I used its save logins and passwords for web sites function for some considerable time and not seen this.

Well, I only saw it once on one machine, so it's probably hard to trigger. ;)

If you want Edge to save your passwords, you need to allow it.
