Having held off using a password manager until now, I chose Avast for the job. I read soooo many self promoting boasts about the superior Avast password manager that I chose this product. After taking the time to install Avast1 on my laptop, (a much too long process) it was only when I couldn't find the very item I wanted that it became clear that I was lied to. I got taken for a ride by Avast! It's absolutely the best way to show the entire world that Avast IS NOT UP TO THE JOB, but it is, in my opinion, one of the threats that we all want to stay clear of!!!
A long established company like Avast should have not allowed any out of date information to remain on their site. The fact that they obviously approve of subversive tactics like this to dupe unwary users like myself speaks VOLUMES of the core integrity here.
A one off mistake, don't even try. Anyone could easily have employed the use of scrubbers to find these out of date articles so that they could be edited or removed entirely.
I wish my post could have been a heartfelt thank you, but I'm a long way away from anything of that nature!
Thanks for the rant, it was indeed therapeutic.
