Network Inspector reports 60 network "friends"
« on: April 21, 2022, 12:23:39 AM »
Avast Premium Ver. 22.3.6008 (Build 22.3.7108.719) UI 1.0.699
Win7 Professional laptop 64bit

So Network Inspector gives some interesting returns when it scans.  When I scan Home network (at Home) I can get anywhere from 4 to 60* returns on my network. But the only hardware I have on the network is my TP-Link router and Arris modem. Tried to scan today and the interface goes blank. So all info and scan progress window disappears. Funny thing is when I scan "Public" at home it appears to work correctly. Or least gives results that make sense. Finds laptop and router and that's it!  Another network laptop in the back office works perfect on NI scans. No issues.   So anyone else experiencing this or am I the anomaly?

*(The return "names" range from "technicolor", "Hon Hai", "Belkin", and "Hitron". Multiples of each so the returns are numerous.)

Should I try a repair on the install? or uninstall and re-install? Thanks in advance!

Hi, are you using a VPN..!? If so, you need to disable it before running a NWI scan.
