False positive app.contentfries.com
« on: May 01, 2022, 02:10:17 PM »
We're now in a very stressful situation which is caused by Avast and AVG web shield on our app subdomain app.contentfries.com

We're about to launch a campaign with our partner in just few hours, and I would really appreciate to get this issue resolved with an urgent manner.

We have reported the false positive yesterday, no response so far.

To the best of our knowledge, the site is clean and this is not an issue in any other AV or online scanners such as:
https://www.virustotal.com/.../778717ec733d9b46.../detection
https://transparencyreport.google.com/safe-browsing/search?url=https:%2F%2Fwww.contentfries.com%2F

We run daily security scans, use strong firewall, update server on regular basis and follow security best practices to the best of our knowledge.

Issue like this is really affecting trust, is hurting our business, and I guess it is a result of some AI classification.

The app subdomain is hosted on a different IP address than the primary domain and we're redirecting wxw.contentfries.com/register to app.contentfries.com/register, but this has nothing to do with "phishing".

If you can help us resolve this issue ASAP, I would be really grateful. Looking forward to your response.

The issue is now fixed and the page was confirmed to be clean by both AVG and Avast. I wish a lot of patience to those who will have this issue in the future.
