Managed by your organization
« on: May 26, 2022, 10:03:18 PM »
I just noticed that all of my browsers, Chrome, Edge and Firefox are showing "Managed by your organization". Researching the issue led me to Avast being the most likely culprit. Google search resule=ts purported that disabling QUIC/HTTP3 scanning would "fix" the issue. Unfortunately, it did not. As a matter of fact, disabling all Avast shields did not make the "Managed by your organization" go away. So I am wondering whether it is Avast that is causing this. I looked at other similar posts in this forum but didn't see anything definitive.

Is anybody else seeing this issue?

Hi,
Are you using a work or personal device?
Please uninstall Avast and see if the issue persists. https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/10/

Sorry, but no need to uninstall, that's part of Avast WebShield.

It is a personal device. I ended up deleting the following registry entries for Chrome:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Google\Chrome
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Google\Chrome

I deleted similar entries for Edge and Firefox as well. The message is no longer displayed.
