Password for app

I cant remember my password for the app version saved on my laptop. The password for the avast site through my broswer works fine but the one for the app appears to be different and I cant remember it! I have tried resetting the password through the website on the browser but I still cant log into my app and there is no option for forgotten password. I cant uninstall it because I need the password for that. I am getting very frustrated. Cant seem to just email someone and ask for help. Anyone got any ideas? I'm pretty desperate now.

Are you referring to the Avast Antivirus application password (https://support.avast.com/article/password-protect-antivirus/)?
If so, you will have to Reinstall Avast Antivirus https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/217/#idt_010

I TOO HAVE THIS ISSUE! I forgot the password to the downloaded and installed program on my desktop, and there is no way for me to remember it. A "hint" or security question would have helped, but I did not even get that. Understand this, I DO NOT NEED HELP WITH MY ONLINE ACCOUNT PASSWORD, ONLY MY INSTALLED PROGRAM PASSWORD!

I have the same problem. And after reset my phone i cannot get the avast password app in google play. Customer service of avast helpppp
