False positives Antivirus
« on: June 07, 2022, 01:34:59 AM »
I keep on getting false positives, please check these reference codes: ecbd3b465425/2022-06-06T22:29:29.228Z, 6a8e03afc200/2022-06-06T23:09:43.094Z, ddf64e8b3b8c/2022-06-06T23:26:19.550Z
I was going to upgrade to the paid version but with all these false positives i am now waiting to see if these problems can be fixed.

Please attach a screenshot of the actual Avast Alert window with the see details information displayed will help.

For most of those who help out on the forums, the reference code won't mean anything.  The reference is likely to be meaningful to those Avast Team members in the virus labs.

The screenshots, show what the alert is on file, url (etc.) and the process responsible/triggering the alert.

Sorry but as I said the code means nothing to me.

Please attach images to your post many will not visit unknown 3rd party sites to view unknown content.

As the See details section isn't open in your screenshot.
Were you trying to connect to the domain in the screenshot  ?
If not, what were you doing ?

Only one other detection on this VirusTotal scan for that domain - https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/69d3f9633f2234960d38907eae2d99d1d16320a3a8dc25f89d0258cfc1d0e41b?nocache=1

Plus one other in a different scan - https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/apionloadmedia.com

If you were trying to connect to this site because of the low number of hits (other than Avast) you can try:
Reporting a Possible False Positive File or Website - https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php.
You should get a response in a day or two.
