New Browser version 102.0
« on: June 13, 2022, 08:15:23 PM »
Hello everyone,

We’re pleased to announce that we have released a new version of Avast Secure Browser (ASB) for Windows - version 102.0.

In this release we focused on 32 security fixes and improvements that help with the optimization of the browser, such as autofill, changes in URL parameters to ensure anonymity, redesign of browser downloads and many other key usability areas, as well as some improvements to our  products.
  • Added more security layers and components to our Anti-phishing to include Webpage Content and Script Protection. Now you are even more secure and protected from fake web pages, when browsing online.
  • Browser PRO now comes up with a new Kill-Switch feature which allows you to make sure all of your traffic goes through the VPN. If you enable it, no requests will be sent outside of the VPN tunnel.
  • Browser PRO VPN now also shows you performance of each node, so you can decide the best option for you based on not only location, but also the speed of connection.
  • We’ve listened to your requests and Browser PRO subscription settings are now also available from the Browser menu.
  • We optimized the browser migration from different browsers so that you can keep all your browser settings, bookmarks, history when you migrate with us, with just one-click-of-a-mouse
  • Check out our new Security and Privacy Center tooltip to guide you through your set up

Watch out for upcoming Avast Secure Browser blog posts about new features.

How to get this latest version
If you have ASB already installed, it should be updated automatically (feel free to visit ‘secure://settings/help’ to trigger an update faster)
Alternatively, you can download and install ASB from our official site:

We hope you enjoy the changes we have made, and as always we would love to hear your feedback. Please try our Browser also on your other devices. Next to Windows version, it is available on iOS, Android and MacOS platforms, and with the Avast sync, you can synchronize the settings on all of them. You can download the MacOS version here, more information for iOS see here (English locales only), and for Android here or go straight to the App Store or Google Play Store.

I updated to this new version of the Avast Browser and I am having problems.

When I log into and use Teams, my camera and microphone will not come on.

When I log into AWS to get remote access, I can't log in.

I switched to Google Chrome and everything worked fine.

Is there a way to go to the previous version?  Or should I just make Google Chrome my default browser?

The main bug - the web pages are often broken - is still not fixed. is reliable test case, but all pages do it every now and then.
