Complete Scam
« on: June 14, 2022, 11:26:58 PM »
I payed for identity protection. I'm not protected. Avast says my identity is disguised, its not. It's not at all. I literally get ads (false advertisement) saying I'm exposed even though I have paid for their services. I contacted them and they said it was just a popup. A ad, saying I need to pay more money for things I already have on my account because indeed, I am not protected. This AVAST is a total scam. 100% India Logmein scam. DO NOT USE AVAST.

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you feel this way.

Please allow me to try and clarify. You have several Avast applications, and they have different functions.
You do not have Avast SecureLine VPN, and assuming you do not have any other VPN, it means that your IP address is visible to the sites you visit. Avast SecureLine VPN is an application that allows you to connect to the internet via secure Avast VPN servers using an encrypted tunnel to protect your online activity from eavesdropping. More details can be found here:https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/63/#idt_1200

You seemed to have received a message in Avast Premium Security to inform you that your IP address is visible and that with Avast SecureLine VPN, you can hide your actual IP address. If you do not wish to receive any offers from Avast Premium Security, you can disable it. Please see: https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/antivirus-popup-notifications/

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
