email passwords erased

I think avast1 (win) is erasing my email passwords when I use disk cleanup. Anyone else with this problem and any solutions?

Hi,

Could you clarify why you think Disk Cleaner is erasing your email passwords?
Disk Cleaner erases the following:
Junk files: Unnecessary files (such as driver packages, temporary files, and log files) that occupy a lot of space and slow down your system.
Downloads & Recycle Bin (unselected by default): The contents of your Downloads folder and Recycle Bin. These items will not be removed from your PC unless you manually select this category.
Broken registry keys: Links in your system registry that may be outdated or broken.
Broken shortcuts: Invalid shortcuts leading to non-existent files or applications.

Thanks for replying. I admit I'm far from sure. I'm trying to find the cause and so far the only thing that suggests itself is that it sometimes happens after a disk cleanup. As no one else appears to have had this trouble i guess i should be looking for something else.

By the way, is it normal to have broken links and registry entries everytime I do a disk cleanup?
