Avast detected email tracker
« on: June 30, 2022, 05:39:46 PM »
I recently booked and paid for an appointment and was promptly sent three emails. One wanted me to click on a link and fill out a form before my appointment. Nothing came up on my iPad through my email app which I used to fill out the form but when I logged into my email from my Mac Mini, Avast flagged and blocked an email tracker. At my appointment the receptionist said she’d never had anyone mention a problem with the automated emails but did confirm the emails I showed her were legit and she’d received the form I filled out. I’m a bit worried I’ve been a victim to ID theft but I do know Avast can falsely flag files as malware as it has done for me in the past. Not sure what to think now.
